Welcome to ChatKey AI. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ChatKey AI mobile
application and related keyboard extension features (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Handy AI Apps. By accessing or using
our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, then you may
not access the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ChatKey AI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be
bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you
must not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ChatKey AI is a third-party keyboard application for mobile devices. The Service may include typing layouts,
translation, writing assistance, clipboard-related tools, voice input where offered, and other productivity
features. As described in our Privacy Policy, we do not collect the characters you type
on our servers; some features may process input on your device or use network access as permitted by the
platform without logging your keystrokes for our analytics. Features may change over time.
3. User Accounts and Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account or sign in. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration;
- Maintain and promptly update your account information;
- Maintain the security of your credentials and device;
- Accept responsibility for activities that occur under your account;
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. User Content and Intellectual Property
4.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of text and other content you enter while using the Service on your device (“User
Content”). We do not collect your keyboard typing on our servers as explained in the
Privacy Policy. If you voluntarily send us content (for example, in a support email or
feedback form), you grant Handy AI Apps a limited license to use that material only to respond to you and to
improve the Service in connection with that communication.
4.2 AI-Generated Output
Suggestions, translations, or other output generated by the Service from your input are provided for your use
subject to these Terms. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it in important contexts.
4.3 Prohibited Content
You agree not to use the Service in connection with any content that:
- Violates any law, regulation, or third-party right;
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory;
- Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
- Constitutes spam or unsolicited commercial content in violation of applicable rules.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service;
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except where expressly permitted by law;
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from the Service;
- Circumvent technical limits, licensing, or payment requirements.
6. Subscription and Payment
6.1 Subscription Plans
ChatKey AI may offer subscription plans or in-app purchases with different features and usage limits. Fees,
billing cycles, and included features are subject to change with reasonable notice as required by the
applicable app store or law.
6.2 Payment
Payments are processed through third-party platforms (for example, the Apple App Store). You agree to their
terms and conditions for payment processing.
6.3 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel subscriptions through your device’s subscription settings. Refunds are subject to the policies
of the store from which you purchased.
7. Service Availability and Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time with or
without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance may temporarily
interrupt the Service.
8. AI and Content Accuracy
The Service may use artificial intelligence (including on-device or other processing as implemented from time
to time). AI-generated suggestions, translations, or corrections may contain errors or inaccuracies. This
section does not change our commitment in the Privacy Policy not to collect your
typing content on our servers. You acknowledge that:
- AI output may be incorrect or incomplete;
- You should review and verify output before use in professional, legal, medical, or other high-stakes contexts;
- Handy AI Apps is not liable for reliance on erroneous AI output;
- AI features are provided “as is” without warranties as to accuracy.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In particular, we do
not collect what you type in other apps for our databases; we focus on diagnostics such as crash data to
improve stability. Platform permissions (for example, network access or “Full Access”) are explained by your
device vendor; our practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANDY AI APPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY,
OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE
SERVICE OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE
(12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD $50) IF NO FEES WERE PAID.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR
NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Handy AI Apps, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from
any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or
relating to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you materially
breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service
ceases; provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the
new Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after such
changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms where permitted by law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in your primary place of
residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer laws in your country
require otherwise. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts having jurisdiction as required by applicable law.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or
eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Handy AI Apps
regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
